The AMARA Hotel Cyprus has debuted along Akrotiri Bay in the town of Limassol, Cyprus. The Los Angeles office of Wilson Associates oversaw the design of the Mediterranean retreat’s F&B venues, which embrace 180-degree panoramic views of the surroundings serving as a backdrop.
Contrasting light and dark elements abound throughout the lobby, where sophisticated and casual spaces are juxtaposed with angular and organic forms. Chiseled, fumed oak wall panels wrap the space, while an expansive wine display contextualizes the heightened atmosphere with intimacy. The hotel’s signature restaurant and bar is also housed on the ground floor and feature leather furnishings in a range of cream, off white, and gray colorways. Gold trimming along stools reinforce the coastal color palette, while hand-blown glass and hardwoods round out a sense of opulence.
A contemporary rooftop bar crowns the property, with soft cream tones offsetting espresso brown wood notes. The relaxed environment is detailed with elaborate wall greenery and wooden stools punctuated with deep blue cushioning. Black marble countertops are set against beige stone walls to further emphasize the contrast of dark and light.
